”Great location. Super clean and upgraded facility. Plenty of space for 3 people. Excellent communication with the host. Packing garage was a challenge for our volvo station wagon but with stiff nerves and guts we did get it in with the outside mirrors closed 😥”

”We particularly enjoyed the thermal baths and sauna facilities. However, access was limited to a few morning and evening hours unless guests paid an additional £70 per person, which was disappointing for a hotel of this category and price point. The restaurant and bar areas felt rather uninviting and never encouraged us to dine or spend time there. ”Nicely decorated with very helpful staff and clean well maintained rooms. My only complaint is that the standard room we were given was very small...too small for 2 adults. Had we been staying more than one night, we would have asked to be moved.”

”A very beautiful and unique hotel in a spectacular area just away from the tourist drag of Bath city center. The hotel has alot of character and period decor. Its an old hotel, so the heating was nit on, understandibly so as it was May. The plumbing is also not updated, so there is a hot tap and a cold tap at the sink. The facilities are adequate for a shorter stay. The hotel is being upgraded, so there was alot of noise above us for our 2 night stay. The staff are friendly and helpful.”

”Had to wait 10mins for a table on both mornings. Breakfast was a buffet style which was not well replenished and out of items. Pretty disappointing choice of self serve items for a hotel of this rating.”

”Second time staying here. Expensive, and both breakfast and parking cost extra. Breakfast was good, but not excellent like some other stays we had on this trip. Parking is tight but doable. The Plate restaurant next door is very good for dinner. ”

”The housecleaning staff forgot to clean my room for three days. I was offered a complimentary coffee for this oversite. The laundry service has a 25 pound minimum charge. The desk receptionist didn't know that. The hotel needs better management.”
