As a traveler who has been using hosting sites for 15 years, it saddens me to leave my first neutral/negative review. There were a few major issues during our stay that caused us major inconveniences. In the interest of leaving a thorough & honest review, I’ll highlight some ofthe pros & cons of our experience.Pros:- the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. - the kitchen was thoroughly stocked with appliances, spices, coffee & amenities- there were plenty of towels available for use.- check-in process was easy & seamless- apartment was only 10 min walk away from the redline train stationCons:- The first night we arrived, there was a large infestation of flies & gnats on the front door of the complex. Somehow by the 2nd night they got into the apartment & we had over 100 gnats and flies covering our walls, light fixtures and just generally being a nuisance. I messaged the owner & he was able to have someone swing by & spray an insect repellant the next morning, but the entrance, corridor & hall smelled like chemicals for the remainder of the stay. - whoever renovated this home into apartments did not install the door handles & latches correctly. Both the master bedroom door and both bathroom doors did not lock, which is very inconvenient if you are staying with friends or other family.- There was no deadbolt on the front door of the apartment, or any way to lock it from the inside allowing our toddler to walk out whenever he pleased
