”Breakfast was fresh choice of way you like your eggs cooked. Room is what you would expect, so quiet and relaxing.. Owner of the establishment could not do enough for us, so helpful, let us know when the bus times into Carlisle were, and, where local shops were. Definitely stay again ”

”All staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, made us feel very relaxed during our stay. The breakfast here was absolutely fabulous with everything there that it stated was there. We also had an afternoon tea booked for after our small wedding and this was excellent and so was the lovely Maria who served our champagne and made sure we had everything we needed. ”An attractive chalet bedroom. Comfortable beds and space. We were made very welcome and breakfast was excellent. Handy for main road and access to places.”

I worried about the stairs as I have difficulty climbing some stairs and these were not taxing on my knees, Appreciate the stay at The Old Rectory.”

”Great stay for the price. The room was clean, amenities basic but they suit just fine. Strong enough Wi-Fi for me to take meetings, and check in/out were very easy. Free parking for all guests behind the hotel was perfect for what I needed. It’s in city centre and across from a club, but with earplugs I slept very well. Nearby shops, restaurants, and a great stay for exploring the region.”
