”This place is an absolute dump. I don't think it would pass for a 2-star hotel in Europe or Asia. Don't book the ocean view room, the windows will rattle to a point where it's impossible to sleep with the slightest of waves. The prices are beyond ludicrous. Spent a few nights here, expecting this to be the dream Hawaiian getaway after trekking around the island - it was the worst hotel we stayed in. We had to change rooms 3 times to get something remotely habitable... this at a $400/night...

It is really close to Kailua-Kona center (but was quiet still which was great), so it was walkable and the trolley takes you to some beaches. ”
