”Great beach, coffee shop, restaurants everything is close. The pool small and not working and no hot tub. Location great and room with Oceanview very nice. If you want location an excellent spot if you want amenities like a pool go somewhere else. ”

”Overall great place to stay. Parking was ample, staff was friendly and late checkout was free. Night clubnext door was loud until about 10 or 1030, and room view was of a parking lot, but room smelled great and lobby was decorated very cute and included a cafe for convenience. Pool had great view of the beach and we were but steps from the sand. Coffee maker didnt work in the room, but with so many great places to walk to, we didnt mind. ”

”Room smelled sour. No maid service. Pay for parking. On the last day we could not get through the gate with our key.”

”Good location and liked that they had a pool. No late check outs even if paying more and the walls are thin. I heard my neighbors all night long either talking or slamming their door. Beds were hard as a board but the room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. ”

”Parking is a major issue! My pull out couch was filled with dirt and scum. Loved the location, loved the rooms and kitchen. Best part the bidet heated toilet. ”

”Looked better in the photos than it actually was. Staff was great and helpful, no issues there. The main complaint was usability of the room itself: Fridge had no freezer, lamp was broken, desk/lamp was very odd (a raisable desk), mirror in bathroom was strange as well. It's like they spent the money in the wrong areas, trying to be high-tech/gadgety for some reason. Remote for smart TV was not supplied, so we had to go to front desk to get it in order to watch Prime/Netflix. No microwave...

”Excellent location on the beach and walkable. The restaurant was great. Staff was helpful. Rooms have been updated but we ran into a few issues. We only stayed 2 nights, and I believe our room was a wheelchair accessible room (not by request). Unfortunately this meant the shower head was mounted on the wall, waste high. It was removable and hand-held but was inconvenient and not ideal. The extra sink in room was a nice feature but due to the way it was plumbed, it back up and black stuff...

”This was a mother/daughter trip in March 2026. I had never been to San Diego before and had no idea what to expect on any level. I was so pleasantly surprised to find this property was not only wonderfully, centrally located, but relatively isolated in its position on the wharf. We didn't have the budget for frills and this property was just what worked for us, and I would definitely return to this property. ”

”Hostel was well-kept and the bathrooms and kitchen were always clean. The lockers in dorms could be bigger, I would’ve liked more space to lock things up. 6 bed dorm felt too small and crowded with everyone’s bags and suitcases on the floor. It was ok for a short stay but I wouldn’t choose it again. The hostel is good option if you want to be seaside, it’s only steps away from the beach. Just know that without car you need to be catching buses or Ubers to go anywhere in San Diego, it’s not...
