”We stayed just one night in this small but very relaxing hideout where the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little bit hard to find and in a very quiet village, but offers shuttle buses to nearby locations. In the hotel area they have a lot of activities, nice pool, books, board games, DVDs and a lot of nice places to just sit and relax. Overall a very nice and beautiful hideout if you have a car or just want to relax.”

”A film crue or what not was camped just next to our treehouse and made quite the noise. The next morning some group started to play loud music on the beach at 7am. Quite hard to sleep in those circumstances. Dinner was terrible, tried it the first night and after that went straight to the food court at Damai central. Breakfast wasn't better. Treehouse was a good sized, hasn't had maintenance in a while, but was ok. Toilet seat wasn't attached properly so the whole room smelled like pee. Airport...

”We were staying here couple of nights with kids. First of all this is quite far from downtown so it is not walkable distance. When we got our room and we opened door there came this moldy warm really bad smell from the room. Room carpet was bumpy and dirty. Beds were quite ok. A/C was noisier than tv. It was not properly bulted to wall. This tower b might have been nice 20 - 30 years ago but not any more. Swimming pool water was yellow. We have been in many hotels and we are not looking for...

”Place2Stay claims three stars but it doesn't offer this quality of accomodation. The building is not well maintained, the rooms are a little shabby and the services are basic. Rooms are never cleaned during the stay, even for a longer stay, and the waste bins are never emptied. Please give your guests a broom and let they know that bottles are not to be thrown away in the room bins! It's definitely not good value, hardly two stars. But the location is great as a lot of good Kuching restaurants...

” I was in Kuching for 10 days staying at a different place every 2-3 days all around the same price range and this one was the worse of them all. The tv was a rabbit ear 13" with a snowy picture and 2 Vietnamese channels only. The hotel is old in a not so good area with hookers standing outside the hotel. The hotel is so old if it is clean you can't tell, needs paint, plumping toilet leaking around the base, needs lots of work to bring into a 1-star hotel rating. Many restaurants in walking...

”Location right next to the riverfront, though no river views rooms available. Some staff were very helpful, some more apathetic. Price is reflective of what you get and amenities were adequate for a short stay. Beds in a twin room were large and fairly comfortable. Some towels were threadbare, others were fine. Breakfast is average. One factor we did not take into account was the loud road noise during the night. Thin glass windows meant the sound carried. Motorbikes and hotted up cars like...

”Room was clean and a good size. Sheets, towels provided. Reception staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful - and were excited for us to see the best of the city and surrounding area. Extremely convenient for many attractions of the city - right on the waterfront, and almost directly opposite the Assembly buildings. Chinatown is just behind - with many delicious options for food. Fantastic. ”
