”This is a perfect accommodation when exploring both Richmond and London. The tube station is just few minutes away and takes roughly 45mins to central London.
The hotel itself is so well managed; everything super clean and neat. Service was outstanding all the way. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but coffee was good :)
The room itself was very small, but we dod not need much more space as we mainly just slept there.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit London, but...
”The nicest place to stay in! The service, the room, the comfiest bed, the perfect breakfast! Five minutes walk to the peaceful riverside where you can walk or half an hour with the train and you’re in the middle of hustle and bustle. And after a busy day in the city you can come back, have a nice dinner, maybe a pint and you’re already in your accommodation! ”
”This was the most fantastic stay. The Petersham is a hidden gem. Easily my favorite hotel in greater London. The staff are professional, friendly and very accommodating. The hotel has a rich history and a fantastic location. I cannot speak more highly, book it and go, and enjoy understated luxury. ”
”The hotel felt old in a good way, but the rooms - and especially the bathrooms - were up to date and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts in the sunny dining room and we left agreeing that the Alexander Pope was a hotel we would happily return to. It's also very convenient to central Twickenham and the 490 bus took us everywhere we needed to go.”
”We had a lovely stay and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived.
The apartment was larger than expected and very clean.
The bedsheets and towels were spotless and fresh. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful and went beyond the expected to help us.
The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen felt newly updated and clean. The washing machine and fridge seemed new and there were refreshments free of charge when we arrived. The wifi was fast and stable.

”Pyydettiin 2 erillistä sänkyä ja saatiin huone 120 cm "parisängyllä". No 120 cm parisänky on vain liian pieni kahdelle heteromiehelle. Lisäpeittoakaan ei saanut pyynnöstä huolimatta. Kissoja pyörii käytävillä lievästi pissa haisee ja matoja nousee suihkun kaivosta. Siistit vessat englantilaiseksi majataloksi. Turhia kalusteita huone täynnä.”
”So i have given everything on this hotel and my stay in this place 5 stars all around. Tge reason for this is because for Value for money considering its London its really good especially with parking slots and the train station just down the road like a 3 minute walk. The staff were really good and helpful i didnt feel i needed anything more for the amount this cost me. Thank you to the gentleman who were at reception and were a friendly bunch. A perfect twin bed room with everything you need, all clean & comfortable.The staff were absolutely fantastic so welcoming and helpful. "We enjoyed our time in London! Hotel war great: nice room and breakfast in the morning. We were able to keep our luggage in luggage room of the hotel after check out. This made the last day of the trip easier for us. "
"4 stars for this hotel is way too much...the room smelled for mould. It was dark and corridors felt like "redrum". But absolutely worst part was the restaurant. Even though in the evening it was half-empty, it took over half 'n' hour to get the food. Yet once we got it fries were cold and daughter's pasta was swimming in butter though it was supposed to be some sort of a cream pasta. I'm not a cook but that had nothing to do with cream pasta. Neither waitress nor manager paid any attention to our claims. Same nonexisting service continued on breakfast. I could add that we had to fight for pur breakfast because there was hardly anything to serve. Worst hotel I've experienced for long time and I travel a lot..."
