Welcome to our Desert Canyon Retreat! Relax and recharge at this stylish desert retreat bordering the South Phoenix Mountains. Enjoy sunsets from the private heated pool, dine outdoors, or unwind with a few putts on the backyard green. Inside, you’ll find a fully updated kitchen, new furnishings, and plenty of entertainment with a pool table and ping pong. Just 15 miles from PHX Airport, this peaceful home offers all the comforts you need for an extended stay of 30+ days.

Desert Canyon Retreat is located in the Ahwatukee Foothills. Once referred to as the "world's largest cul-de-sac" because of its quiet neighborhood feel. Accessibility to the Ahwatukee Foothills was greatly improved with the introduction of the South Mountain Freeway in 2019 (Loop 202) which greatly reduced commute times. Now commuting anywhere in the greater Phoenix area is a breeze, just jump on your closest onramp and you're on your way.

The freeway improved the accessibility, but it doesn't take away from the quiet neighborhood feel.

Entire space plus amenities is included in this rental. Guests have access to all areas of the house and property except a few cabinets in the laundry room and garage and an outdoor storage shed which holds owner's property.

OUTSIDE: Enjoy incredible sunset views over the desert hills from the spacious backyard complete with a heated pool. The outdoor dining area has seating for up to eight guests and has a propane grill. Catch up on great conversations in the lounge chairs and additional poolside seating. Have fun on the putting green or a game of corn hole.

KITCHEN & DINING ROOM: Spacious kitchen is updated and fully equipped. Dining table seats eight and has an extension to accommodate additional seats. Highchair and booster seat provided.

LIVING AREAS: The living room overlooking the patio and pool area has seating for seven with a reclining sofa, love seat, and additional chairs. 65" smart TV is viewable from living room, dining room and kitchen areas. The additional separate sitting area is a quiet space with seating for three.

GAME ROOM: Complete with a pool table, barstool seating and a 55" smart TV. There is a guitar sitting in the corner just waiting for someone who can play to pick it up!

MASTER BEDROOM has a king size bed w/ memory foam mattress, 55' smart TV, and a quiet reading nook w/ chase lounge. Master bathroom with walk-in closet. Additional bathroom with direct access to the patio.

- 3rd BEDROOM: Twin XL over Queen bunk bed, both memory foam mattresses

- 4th BEDROOM: Queen size bed w/ memory foam mattress

Traveling with a baby or toddler? No need to pack all the essentials as we provide a pack & play w/ mattress and sheets, a high chair, a booster seat, a sound machine with built-in nightlight and a removable bedrail for the bottom bunk.

BATHROOMS: 4 bathrooms, 3 showers, 1 bathtub

GARAGE: Ping pong table can be easily moved for garage parking.

LAUNDRY: Onsite washer and dryer

POOL: The pool is heated with a heat pump installed in 2022 with the water temperature maintained at 85 degrees. The heat pump is somewhat dependent on the ambient temperature, so if daytime and nighttime temperatures are extreme the pump may not be able to maintain the 85 degree set point. This isn't an issue other than during a winter cold-snap.

- HIKING & MOUNTAIN BIKING: 4 trailheads within 5 miles leads to over 50 miles of trails in the South Mountain Park and Preserve - great for hiking & biking - well known for the incredible views and landscapes

- NEARBY PARK: Vista Canyon Park is 1 block away - playfields, kids play structure and swings, sand volleyball court, basketball court, walking paths

- GOLF: 50 public golf courses within a 30 minute drive. We're happy to make reccommendations!

- PROFESSIONAL SPORTS: Less than 30 minute drive to State Farm Stadium, Chase Field, Footprint Center, ASU arena

- NEARBY CITIES: 20-30 minutes to countless activities in Scottsdale, Glendale, Tempe, Goodyear, Gilbert, Chandler and Queen Creek

- RESTAURANTS: There's lots of great local spots in Ahwatukee. Nearby cities have great options as well. Suggestions will be given to our guests

You will likely want a vehicle for your stay.

Desert Vista Park and a few trailheads are within walking distance, but everything else will take a few minutes in a car.

Chandler Blvd is a main thoroughfare with makes getting to just about anything in South Phoenix pretty easy. Two onramps to Loop 202 within 1.5 miles.
