Quality Inn & Suites Goodyear – Phoenix West
I’ve stayed here before and generally had a decent experience, but this time the biggest difference was the price. Once the rate goes over $100, it becomes hard to justify for this location. The hotel sits right next to the freeway, so it’s loud and noisy, with constant traffic, trucks, and people walking by. If you’re just looking for a basic place to sleep and don’t mind noise, it may work. However, if you’re expecting anything close to luxury or complimentary amenities, this is definitely not it—especially at the current price point. For what they’re charging now, it doesn’t really feel like “Quality.”
Staff is hit or miss—about 50/50. Some are friendly and helpful, others seem like they’re just not having a great day. One positive is that the breakfast area has been upgraded. It used to be smaller and uncomfortable, and while it’s better now, it can still feel cramped, especially since you’re not allowed to take food out of the breakfast area.
The rooms show noticeable wear and tear. Some of the light shades are torn or see-through, and overall the room feels a bit rough around the edges. The bathtubs feel more like something you’d find in a family home—not luxurious, but not bad enough to make you avoid showering either.
