Far away from the centro, and poor bus connections. Have to have a car or a bike, or be prepared to walk a lot to find food or other services outside the hotel. Surrounding hills and beach are nice! Staff in the hotel is very nice and helpful outcluding the breakfast staff. Hotel and the room are nice and clean.

The one lady that was on day shift helped us get a different room because my wife has asthma so we were moved to a very nice room in the main building.

L’hotel ha un buon potenziale: ampi spazi, vicinanza al mare. Purtroppo gli spazi comuni, i giardini e la zona piscine talasso hanno bisogno di manutenzione e rinnovamento! La Zarco room per gli snack pomeridiani è un salone SENZA FINESTRE!!Sembra un bunker!! Vien voglia di scappare! La cucina inoltre è basata su serate a tema: quella Portoghese cui abbiamo partecipato non è stata per nulla piacevole nè invitante: niente addobbi, niente musica e scarso cibo portoghese. Poi 25€ al giorno x noleggio lettini e ombrellone in spiaggia sono davvero troppi. Assolutamente non un 4 stelle per gli standard italiani!

Lovely location with a great beach at the back of the hotel. The hotel rooms need to be updated and found the bar area to be quite small for a large hotel, not enough seating area. Food was lovely and staff very friendly.

I have tried this hotel that was recommended by a friend. Close to the beach and well organized. Spa with fantastic conditions. Good service with massages available with decent prices for hotel costumers. Good food and all staff very polite and helpful. I will be back in Porto Santo and to this hotel for sure

Great treat
Definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation on this peaceful island. Helpful and friendly staff at reception, restaurants and spa. Spa therapist - Sandra - was really welcoming and professional. The heated indoor pool is great when the weather isn´t good. Wifi in room is a plus.

Das Apartment hat eine schöne Größe, überall Fenster und (vom dritten Stock) eine schöne Aussicht. Der Balkon ist gigantisch, leider nur mit zwei Plastikstühlen und Tisch versehen, wo zwei Liegen eindeutig Platz hätten. Das Interieur ist in die Jahre gekommen und könnte modernisiert werden. Gerade bei den Matratzen haben sich die Federn bemerkbar gemacht. Das Essensangebot zu allen Zeiten war üppig, wenn auch nichts Besonderes. Der Service des Personals wird hier groß geschrieben. Sie nehmen sich Zeit, können gut Englisch und sind immer anzutreffen. Das Hotel hat zudem eine große Außenanlage, wo man sich auf einer Liege entspannen kann und Kinder ihren Spaß finden. Der Strand ist sehr gut zu Fuß direkt vom Hotel aus zu erreichen, eine kleine Unterführung führt unter der Straße durch. Für „Regentage“: das freie Wifi ist top (30 MBit up und down; schneller wer es braucht gegen Gebühr). Es gibt viele deutsche Fernsehkanäle und Indooraktivitäten (Schwimmhalle, Billiard,...)

No shuttle bus from boat to hotel. When we arrived we found out that Almost everybody else has “all-inclusieve” bur hotels.com did not give us this opportunity when we booked

Ich war drei Wochen dort und habe nichts auszusetzen! Unbedingt mit HP buchen die Buffets am Abend sollte man unbedingt ausprobieren war Spitzenklasse!! Bei HP sind auch die Getränke inbegriffen, zudem kann man jederzeit die Wasserflaschen gratis an den Spendern wieder auffüllen! Verständigung in Englisch unproblematisch. Absolut empfehlenswert, ich gehe wieder Dorthin!!

A big surprise!
First impression not good; a tall building raging far above over the idyllic small town of Machico. But after staying 3 days I,m impressed! For the price for the rooms you really get value for money. Great breakfast! Situated perfect, above the beach and city center, friendly atmosphere, beautiful m surroundings. A lot do do both at and outside the hotel.

Ottima posizione, resort ricco di servizi
Il resort è collocato nella parte sudoccidentale dell'isola, quella più selvaggia e più gradevole per gli amanti della natura, con bellissima spiaggia sabbiosa, circoscritta da dune eoliche. Camere ampie e confortevoli, si vede il mare da ogni posizione. Ottima funzionalità della WIFI, letti comodi, pulizia ineccepibile. Il resort ha una piscina coperta di circa 15 m, con acqua molto calda, si può nuotare tranquillamente. Il centro Thalassa è posto al di là della strada, verso la spiaggia, ma è raggiungibile con un tunnel, comprende un ricco centro benessere con due entrate gratuite e la palestra, accessibile senza limitazioni. Sempre dalla parte di Thalassa è presente la piscina all'aperto con molti lettini ed ombrelloni gratuiti posti sul prato, mentre oltre le dune c'è la bellissima spiaggia, attrezzata con ombrelloni e lettini, questi a pagamento. Nel corpo centrale c'è anche la sala pranzo, molto ampia, con comodi tavolini. La colazione è molto varia e di buona qualità. Benchè non avessimo all-inclusive, abbiamo cenato tre sere ed il cibo ci è parso di buona qualità, particolarmente il pesce e la paella del martedì sera. Camerieri molto gentili e buffet continuamente rifornito. Molto gentile anche il personale della reception.

Isola fantastica , AMISURA D''UOMO, che offre: IL MASSIMO DEL RELAX , camminate su 9 km di spiaggia, passeggiate e arrampicate di sentieri sui PICHI, panorami mozzafiato, tranquillità, gente del posto cordialissima, un altro mondo nel quale ci vivrei volentieri, cibo ottimo, nell'Hotel Vila Bailera tutto OK. 2 soli suggerimenti: 1) tavoli e sedie al posto di divani e poltrone nelle sale adiacenti alla Hall ...per giocare a carte comodamente; 2) nel cartellone dell'animazione riportare l'attività dei giorni della settimana della serata dopo cena, manca, a mio avviso, un po' più di comunicazione dell'attività dell'animazione, che comprendo e apprezzo, molto discreta; magari gli animatori potrebbero pranzare o cenare nella sala insieme ai clienti.. e da lì impostare alcune attività di animazione. COMUNQUE TUTTO BELLISSIMO !!! SICURAMENTE CI TORNERO'

Great location, very outdated and sterile.
This hotel has an incredible location as it is across from one of the loveliest beaches I have ever been to, however, the hotel is NOT GOOD. We were placed in the building across from the main tower. The only way the rooms and hallways can be described is as bizarre. The building has zero character and upon arrival the floors were wet and extremely slippery. The housekeeping carts are kept in plain sight along with the trash bags. The rooms are dirty and give a very cold/sterile feeling. There are no frills in the rooms whatsoever. Our room came with one bottle of water. The safe had no lock on it so was completely useless. The bathroom is dirty and set up in a very illogical fashion. There were also very strange level changes in our room that were very hazardous especially during the evening. When we checked in we were not given any information about any of the facilities so we were completely clueless as to how to access the beach, get towels, nearby restaurants, etc. Again the beach is tremendous, and the staff who work at the beach bar/lifeguard stations are more than helpful and friendly. There is a great little bar next door as well.

Dejligt beliggenhed , tæt ved strand og Vandreture
God oplevelse selv om vejret ikke var det bedste , gode spa muligheder og Vandreture og rigtigt fint man kunne låne cykler . Fantastisk sted stille og roligt 😄

Kurzaufenthalt. Weil die Faehre nach Porto Santo am 31.12.2015 fahrplanmaessig nicht fuhr, mussten wir einen Tag frueher abreisen. Die letzte Nacht (ohne dass wir da waren)wurde in Rechnung gestellt. ABER vielleicht haetten wir das frueher selber merken sollen ...

Boede i suite da vi kun var på øen i 2 døgn. Desværre lå suiten tæt på vej, men udsigt OK- fin service på hotellet;-)lidt slidt hotel.
