”The view of pudding creek and the water birds was lovely from the balcony. Traffic can be heard, so can the fog horn. Hot tub was great.”

”We stayed in the Emerald Room for the 4th of July (the largest with the peacocks and the king bed) and found the experience to be a beautiful gem inside Fort Bragg. Do plan accordingly because there is no microwave or any way to cook things, and the fridge was a little warm. I'm not knocking off any points for the appliance situation because it made the experience more historical and made the dream real. The tower was the highest point in Fort Bragg and gave an amazing view for the fireworks...

”My husband and I stayed in a king suite with a beautiful ocean view. The beach is just a short walk across from the rooms and it’s surprisingly private. The room was very quaint, spacious, and clean. The lodge is close to town and right along a path that leads to glass beach. We had a perfect 3 night stay with beautiful sunset views.”

”Staff was very helpful and friendly, 'Beach view' consisted of looking at a rundown apartment right outside the window instead of a beach view, But the price was right and the room was clean.”

”This is more like a “by the hour” place… Paint peeling off the walls, screens missing from the windows (no ac), dirt and decay… oddly, our room did have an upgraded bathroom MIRROR except the light on it only half worked. It’s cheap, yes, but this is probably the second worst hotel I have stayed in.”

”I am looking into a refund. This was the worst place I have ever stayed at in my life. A lot of places were sold out and I thought it would not be a big deal to stay at a Motel 6 if it were clean and decent. The room smelled heavily of mold. The sink leaked. The AC did not work. The people that stayed there looked like they drug addicts and trailer trash.”

”The place is very run down. But, I guess you get what you pay for. I reserved a room with a kitchenette and guest room. I needed a separate sleeping space for my adult niece. When we checked in and went to our room, we found that it didn’t have the separate guest room. I went to reception and they said that that suite was rented out to someone else and unavailable. ”Staff were friendly and helpful, however the room and bathroom for the price is not worth it.”

”The staff was very helpful. We couldn’t figure out the fireplace and they were there within a minute to assist. Rooms were all updated and super clean. Great location. Must go to Cafe 1 to eat breakfast.”

”Nice room with a phenomenal view. Staff is outstanding and friendly. Be aware though that you WILL be hearing the fog horn 24 hours a day. That being said, the white noise from the room fan covered it up pretty well. My wife is a VERY light sleeper and when we had that going she had no problems. I just didn't think the fog horn always went off even when there is no fog.”
