”Stayed in Room 14 for one night. Room very tired - headboard peeling in flakes onto pillows, furniture shoddy & worn. Toilet roll with 4 sheets left folded at end on holder to look nice in en-suite. Room in desperate need of refurbishment. Staff however were very friendly, courteous & professional. Nice meal/drinks at reasonable price in Restaurant. Price for room also reasonable. Would stay again but only for night or two.”

”We visited the hotel for a business meetings nearby. The place is very traditional English Inn. Nice pub with good food. The rooms are clean and ok, but the place is a little worn down. I a still like it.”

”Typical rural pub and restaurant and quite nice. Disappointed to discover they dont do breakfast so we only used the accommodation. Room is modern and provided the necessary things, though cleanliness was below average, large cobwebs above the bed and high level dust was scattered about when the heating eventually came on. Room was cold to begin with. Bed was comfortable though could feel the lump in the middle of joining 2 beds together. It was nice though, not likely to return.”

”Clean and comfortable, but would benefit from refurbishment! If flat is on the front of the building, there’s a lot of noise and light from the street, at all hours! There are no blackout blinds, so bring an eye mask! Double glazing reduces the noise, but you’ll need ear plugs if sleeping with windows open. The hot water cylinder only heats up at night, so it’s not unusual to have no hot water in the evenings!”
