”Front desk staff was very helpful.”

”The room was clean. Furniture sparse, but in good condition. Bed was comfortable and the bedding clean. Heating and AC unit was adequate for the size of the room. Bathroom was worn, but clean, and included a new shower unit with hot water on demand. All and all a good road stop inn for a couple of nights stay.”

”This was our second time staying here, we came out for my husband's disc colf tournament. I loved it even more this time around. The happy hour is sooo nice, snacks drinks so great. Breakfast was great. Our room was so cute. It was just my husband and myself perfect space for 2. We were really bummed the hot tub wasn't opened, but they have a sauna we used. Thanks for having us. We will be back.”

”Oldest hotel, amazingly restored. Has its quirks which makes it even more intriguing to stay there. We have stayed here before and loved it even more this time. Staff is amazing and makes your stay welcoming and comfortable.”

”The room was nice but only had a space heater so it was pretty cold with snow still on thr ground...had a wall unit for a/c took about 15 20 mins for hot water in the shower an the floor was all tile so twice as cold ... had to buy some towels an a blanket . would i stay there again probably not , had some people fighting at like 1 am so that woke me up too, parking lot pretty small an no assigned parking had to park pretty far away from my room couldn't keep an eye on my car but it was alright ”

”I had been wanting to stay at The Pines Inn and Cottages for some time, so I worried my expectations may be inflated - but I moved my bags in and never wanted to leave. 🌷 There are so many room details that make it easy to be away from home, the bed is so S-O-F-T, and the grounds are magic waiting to happen. It was lovely in early spring, but I can imagine what an amazing place the Inn grounds become later in the year. I cannot wait to reurn. 🍃”

”Breakfast eggs were very dry and barely warm, sausages were also dry. Coffee was as good as paint remover. Beds seem to be hard every stay here. ”

”Parking was in the street or behind the building- you can only park for 3 hours at a time. On our last day of our stay we had to have our car removed at 0830 because Nevada City was having an event- which meant we had to leave early. There was no communication from staff about this. The room was very expensive for no ice or coffee for the room and no parking convenience. ”

”The room was somewhat clean, but there were a pair of mattresses right in front of the room, dirty and old with stains--I took pics---I had no choice but to check out within less than two hours and it was becuase I was no the phone with Expedia trying to book something else. I was charged for one night, even though the pics on the website look nothing like this old, falling-apart place. But never again. Driving out of the parking lot, I noticed there was nobody else. That was the worse...

”Dirty mirror with smudged hand prints, broken closet door, peeling wallpaper, holes in the wall, no towel racks, hair in bathroom. Trash outside the door. Old ragged carpet. Awful place. Toilet so low it looked like it belonged in a kindergarten . Should be updated and remodeled. Location lovely and close to town.”

”Great customer service and support for sure. However, the cabin was dusty, the knotted flooring had small holes that exposed what appeared to be a dirt foundation. When it rained, the humidity with the dust made it hard for me for breath. The sheets in the main bed were clean, but they also seemed dusty to me. Could have been just the air inside, but my allegories made it impossible to sleep. My friend who too the sofa bed, opted to sleep on the sofa because there was a mattress pad with...
