Garden & Private Entrance – Ponte Milvio Loft

Summary:

A 50 m² ground-floor apartment in Ponte Milvio, in the residential north of Rome, with its own entrance off a quiet courtyard and a garden with a table for eating outside.



The living room is built around a floor-to-ceiling oak bookcase, with a cushioned window seat looking onto the greenery. The kitchen is a real one — oven, induction hob, dishwasher, full-height fridge — and four people fit around the round table. The sleeping area is a room of its own: a 160x200 double bed on a raised platform, four full-width wardrobes underneath it, and a proper desk by the window rather than a corner of the dining table.



Ponte Milvio is the part of Rome where Romans actually live. Bars, restaurants for every budget and a supermarket are a few minutes away on foot. The bridge itself is about ten minutes, the Foro Italico and the Stadio Olimpico around fifteen. The historic centre is a short tram or bus ride down the Flaminia.

The Space:

The whole apartment is yours.



The garden is shared with one neighbouring apartment and has a table where you can eat outside. Three steps lead up from the courtyard to the front door — worth knowing if you travel with heavy luggage.



We ask guests to take their shoes off indoors: the floors are polished concrete and we like to hand them over spotless. Disposable slippers are waiting for you.



Guest Access:

The apartment has its own entrance and sits on the ground floor.



Past the gate you'll find a small brown glass door: push it, no key needed. The apartment door is immediately on your right.



Check-in is self-service through a lockbox on the gate, so you can arrive whenever suits you from 1pm onwards. We send the code the day before you travel.



The Neighborhood:

Ponte Milvio is northern Rome, residential and lived-in rather than a tourist strip. In the evening the streets around the bridge fill up with people eating out; the apartment sits a few streets back, on a quiet courtyard.



A supermarket and everyday shops are a couple of minutes away. The Ponte Milvio bridge is around ten minutes on foot, the Foro Italico and the Stadio Olimpico about fifteen, and the Auditorium Parco della Musica roughly twenty. Piazza del Popolo and the historic centre are about 3 km: a straight run down the Flaminia.



Getting Around:

Tram 2 leaves from Piazza Mancini, a few minutes from the apartment, and runs down Via Flaminia to Piazzale Flaminio, where it meets metro line A at Flaminio station — the stop for Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps.



Buses along the Flaminia and Corso Francia cover the rest of the city. Fiumicino airport is around 40 minutes by car, Ciampino about the same.



Other Things to Note:

Worth knowing before you book:



— The apartment sleeps two.

— The bed sits on a raised platform, reached by three wide wooden steps with drawers built into them. Storage for two suitcases is underneath.

— Three steps lead from the courtyard up to the front door.

— The garden is shared with the apartment next door.

— Rome city tax is 6 EUR per guest per night, for the first 10 nights. Depending on the site you book through, it is either collected with your booking or on arrival.

Check-in is self-service, so you're free to arrive when you like without waiting for anyone to meet you.
