Um 1085, zur Zeit der Klostergründung durch Herzog Welf I wurde bereits eine romanische, dreischiffige Basilika mit Querschiff und Flachdach errichtet. Mitte des 15 Jhd wurde die Kirche durch den Baumeister Hansen erstmals umgebaut. Heute ist die Kirche eine dreischiffige Basilika, mit freistehenden Glockenturm und romanischen Grundriss. Die architektonischen Proportionen sind Gotisch. Im Innenraum verschmelzen die Stilrichtungen des Rokoko, der Gotik und der Romantik. It was a very beautiful place and the location was good. I would have liked small changes, better pillows, a dish brush and a door to the shower room. Otherwise it was excellent! Free parking at the street.
