”Highly personable owners who were kind friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Thank you for a very good stay.”

”No door key as all digital, had to use phone which is ok but only gives access to 1 person. Shower temperature was luke warm at it's hottest, shower gel dispenser didn't work. Also the air-conditioning didn't work, had to use the fan instead. Room was noisy due to the adjacent pub.”

”The hotel itself is looking a bit tired but our room was spotless and clean. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The buffet breakfast was hot and tasty. The location is amazing. Fantastic place to stay if u don't want to spend loads of time in the hotel.”

”It's a unique property as it's a historic building, walking distance to Osborne House. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. The restaurant serves excellent food and the breakfast room and lounge are cosy. Our bedroom was large , comfortable and clean. Highly recommend it.”

”Situated in the heart of Cowes right on the High Street. We stayed here one night to attend a family party. It was perfect for 1 night, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The Anchor is a lively, popular pub serving local beers and weekly live music. The room had some ear plugs provided but we didn't need them, a nice thought though.”

”Even though the hotel was not brand new, the service, and especially the staff characteristics were soooo good, that will definitely stay there the next time at the Isle of Wight.”

”Room was much bigger than expected (possibly an upgrade) and seemed to have been recently renovated. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was included although my invoice stated room only. Apparently all rooms here include breakfast which was very good. Highlight really was the friendliness of staff which is probably because it’s an independent property and they genuinely want to make guests feel welcome. ”

”A relaxing feel runs through the hotel and out into the gardens. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Herons love it too! The staff were smiley and attentive, Our room was clean and the towels soft and fluffy. We made use of the spa facilities every day. The pool temperature was great for us.”

”Great staff, unique location , excellent food , couple of small issues with the bathroom, quite a lot of limescale on the shower controls & adjacent tiles. Hot water in the basin took forever to even be lukewarm. Everything else up to scratch & would stay again .”

”Pros: Amazing Aircon. Essential in British Heatwave. Comfortable bed. Quiet room. Nice and dark. Fabulous shower. Cons: Bar area was noisy and only catered table wise to large groups not to a singleton like me. Car charger did not work. Not hotels fault. But couldn't charge car. Hotel parking lot rammed with club/pool goers. No reserved parking for hotel guests. Had to shlep suitcases across carpark. Only English Breakfast tea in room. No proper tea. Comfortable stay overall.”

”This Hotel hit all the spots for our small intimate family wedding for our daughter. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were perfect. The gardens were beautiful and well looked after a perfect setting for photographs. The food in the evening and at breakfast great and plenty of choice. A big thank you to all the staff.”
