It's amazing how color brings life to a scene. I was drawn to this shot by the pop of red the leaves brought. It was as if Autumn was fighting for a voice as Winter took over. There's something that always calms me about the blank canvas that snow gives. It seems to turn the mundane into a beautiful mystery. In this case, a charming weathered barn that I'm sure could tell a few stories given the chance. To me, the horse represents life, telling us that although the barn has seen a few years, it's not done yet.
