"we had a villa with a small pool. The room/villa was great. we didn't have the best weather, so it was raining a bit and for the kids that was annoying. The kids club is great for small kids, but not for older ones. The food was really good. Overall we enjoyed the place a lot."

The staff were the true highlight: warm, welcoming, and always one step ahead in making sure everything ran smoothly. Whether it was the front desk, restaurant staff, or housekeeping, every single person we met treated us with genuine kindness and professionalism. The view from the entrance was already breath-taking. The hotel is gorgeously designed, with immaculate landscaping throughout. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal – fresh tropical fruits, eggs made to order, pastries, local specialties, and excellent coffee. We also thoroughly enjoyed the resort’s dining options, especially the Beach restaurant. Be sure not to miss the Surf and Turf Buffet Dinner. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable. Our kids especially loved the spacious bunk beds and direct pool access. The pools were a family favorite – beautifully designed with plenty of loungers and a pool bar. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and peaceful, with poolside service that was both prompt and friendly. Just steps away was the beach, which was soft, clean, and uncrowded. The tide moved the shoreline a couple of hundred meters and it was fun to walk towards the sea at low tide. Anantara Koh Yao Yai has the best kids’ club we’ve ever seen. There’s so much for children to do there. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel"

"We stayed three nights in our own villa. At first, we were presented with a villa that was not the same as the one we had booked. Thank god, we finally got to the right villa. The villa was nice and clean. The mood of the first day was lowered by a snake that we saw at our pool, the staff went to catch it, and a cockroach that we caught inside the apartment. Although we have traveled a lot on the different islands of Thailand, we had never encountered a snake at the accommodation before. I would have expected that a five-star hotel would have a better look at the yard areas, especially since the snake came towards us as soon as we arrived at the villa. I recommend the hotel if your goal is to sunbathe in your own peace. "
