Breakfast used to be nice but now it’s just a to-go thing. And water is .$50! Really??? Construction and noise outside our balcony. However I was pleased to get the room for an early checkin. I will be coming back

Free breakfast was convenient for our family with young kids. All areas of the hotel were clean. Parking was easy and location was very central. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Das Zimmer war sauber und modern, man hat sich gleich wohlgefühlt. Zimmerreinigung findet erst nach 3 Tagen statt. Möchte man vorher eine Reinigung, muss es bis 11 Uhr morgens angemeldet werden. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur entgegengesetzten Hafenseite, auf der sich genau gegenüber eine große Baustelle befand, mit Arbeitsbeginn 07:00 Uhr. Bei Buchung wurden wir im Anschluss darauf hingewiesen, wir hatten es darauf ankommen lassen. Im nachhinein muss ich sagen, es war extrem laut und störend. Ein kostenloses Upgrade zur Hafenseite, wenn freie Kapazitäten sind, wäre nett gewesen. Das Frühstück, das man sich morgens an der Rezeption in einer vorgefertigten Papiertüte holen kann, ist sehr dürftig. Man kann aus 3 - 4 Varianten wählen. Möchte man etwas verändern, kommt es darauf an, wer gerade an der Rezeption steht. Ich wollte gerne einen kleinen O-Saft mit in meiner Tüte haben, das bedurfte etwas Verhandlungsgeschick. Kaffeeautomat nahe der Rezeption 24/7 zugänglich mit Optionen u. a. auf Tee, Kakao. Mir schmeckte der Kakao sehr gut. Das Zimmer hatte keine USB-Anschlüsse, konnte mir - ausnahmsweise - einen Adapter an der Rezeption leihen. Dort werden die Adapter i. d. R. nur verkauft, für 7 US-Dollar. Tolle Lage, Little Italy ist gleich um die Ecke, zum Hafen ein Katzensprung. Parkhaus direkt am Hotel dran, für 22 US-Dollar/Nacht. Wenn der Preis passt, würde ich das Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

There is still some serious construction going on that starts at 6am, and is SO loud. However, we enjoyed our stay here. We didn't request to have our room cleaned while we were there, but I admit that I miss the days when it would just happen without a request. The room was clean and comfortable, as was the bed. We will definitely stay here again as the staff are all really nice, and its location is an excellent jumping off point for just about anything you could want to do in SD.

We spent 5 nights. Bed and pillow were comfortable - more so than Hyatt and Hiltons we have stayed at. Hot water was always available. Staff were very friendly. Daily room cleaning was available but we opted to set out trash when needed and it got emptied. And we set out used towels that got collected and they supplied fresh towels at the front counter or delivered them to our room. Our hotel was on the edge of Little Italy. Lots of good food places in walking distance. One day we took a pedicab from the Embarcadero and Midway ship museum back to our hotel after walking to those points of interest. Fun ride. Another time we took an Uber from Petco park back. The Uber driver commented that we chose a great hotel in its location - near Little Italy. He said the Gas Lamp Quarter had a much bigger problem with homeless people. We felt safe walking several blocks including to Sea Port Village. The main lobby coffee machine even made hot chocolate which I indulged in many times. There is also a StarBucks across the street. My only issues were that the hotel is showing its age as in scratched table and room furniture, no fan in the bathroom for steam, and the balcony sliding glass door was only openable a little bit due to, i believe, broken wheels. But over all, I definitely would stay there again.

This is a convenient and relatively affordable, clean option in San Diego. I haven’t stayed at a Best Western in many years and found it to be a good affordable option.

Within a close distance from airport and to cruise ship terminal. Disappointed because only "grab and go" breakfast only available. Restaurant being renovated currently, so that is probably on a temporary problem.

Easily walkable to Little Italy with lots of restaurants to choose from. There is a big construction project next door but we’re early risers so it didn’t matter to us. Parking was easy with a small garage next door but I imagine it fills up when the hotel has higher occupancy.

We have stayed 3 times and have found the hotel to be comfortable and convenient. This time we had a room next to the elevator, but we did not hear noise from the elevator or from other guests. If you walk in the area, you will probably pass one or more vagrants. Unfortunately, that is probably going to happen in any downtown area in California. We were traveling as a couple and did not feel unsafe. We bought snacks at a RiteAid pharmacy on a corner two lights to the west and one block north. The hotel itself doesn't offer much in the way of snacks. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was a short taxi ride to the B Street Cruise terminal ($12). There were lots of restaurants close by to choose from. It was convenient to have the complimentary breakfast. The rooms were clean and we had a partial view of the bay. We enjoyed the hot tub. The Front desk desk check is quick and organized. You can hear the train whistles often which is about 2 blocks away but it wasnt too loud to be bothersome. Located in the Little Italy area of the city.

Hello, Thank you for choosing Best Western Plus Bayside Inn. The rate change is slightly higher depending on the room type you have reserved. The room type you have reserved is not a standard room, it is a larger size room located on the higher levels facing the city. Our standard city view rooms are smaller in size and located on our lower levels.

This hotel is located about 5 blocks from the Santa Fe train and bus depot, We had reservations for an Amtrak train that left from the depot at 6 a.m.; this hotel was just the place to stay the night before, since we could walk to the depot. We picked up our grab-and-go breakfasts from the front desk and took them on the train with us. The location is also convenient to the San Diego trolley. There are restaurants nearby. The beds were comfortable. There was a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. There is construction going on next door, but it didn't affect us, since we checked out early in the morning. The city view rooms face the construction. The bay view and pool view rooms do not; you should book one of those if you are hoping to sleep past 7 a.m. We hope to stay at this hotel again because the location is so convenient for us.

Great location. Nice property overall. Wifi wasn’t great. Otherwise a fine stay. Helpful staff and nice breakfast bags.

The room and location was nice. Our view was a high rise construction project next door which didn’t bother us. We asked for fresh bedding and towels before we left one morning (you have to ask for your room to be cleaned daily if we want it done) and came back that evening to it not being completed. When i called to the front desk, they said they didn’t know why it wasn’t completed and that the services were done for the day. Our option was for them to bring the bedding up and for us to change the bed ourselves… which we did but obviously if we’re paying for the room and the service it would have been great to have it done in the first place.

We got a room on the 6th floor staying for 5 nights in March. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The only problem was we didn't get any room service even though we were told it would be done every 3 days. No one collected the rubbish. Hence, we won't go back.

We offer housekeeping services every 3rd day and just need your permission to enter your room, which is now standard for most US hotels, due to the change in preferences from guests. We also will bring amenities and remove trash anytime, upon request. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back the next time you visit San Diego!

Coffee machine available 24hrs is a plus. Little Italy at walking distance is good, however it doesn’t feel safe walking at night. Construction across the street was loud, although I did receive a warning email.

Localisation parfaite! Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée. Bonne literie et bons oreillers. Notre chambre donnait sur l’immeuble en cours de construction mais les travaux ne commencent pas très tôt et ne sont pas très bruyants. Petite salle de sport. Déjeuner à emporter avec plusieurs options très correctes! Je trouve que le rapport qualité prix était excellent et j’y séjournerai à nouveau lors de mon prochain séjour à San Diego!
