”This was absolutely a perfect retreat after a weeklong Safari in the Serengeti! We stayed in the two bedroom bungalow directly on the beach and had absolute privacy along with 24 hour security! I’m still dreaming of falling asleep to the sound of the sea every evening. The food was excellent and we ate seafood fresh every evening. The swimming pool was a luxury after spending time in the tide pools or swimming in the salty ocean we felt like there was ultimate privacy, even though there were...

”Lovely room and the view was phenomenal. Check in says till 11pm but make sure you let them know in advance (we had) but it was clear they were due to go home when we arrived after 10. Food at restaurant was great, and staff very helpful. We dived with the sister hotel and had a great experience. We contacted them ourselves as hotel suggested getting shuttle bus to book but they were responsive via WhatsApp and this was easier.”

”Excellent 24/7 service, the villas are well maintained and private.”

”Iso hotelli (=paljon ihmisiä), huonot allasalueet ja buffetissa aina sama ruoka. Lapsille yksi pieni allas johon mahtui noin 6 lasta.”

”Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. The only suggestion I have as a means to improve is to potentially find a way to control the flies during the breakfast buffet. We found it slightly bothersome on some occasions. Outside of that, everything was truly amazing and would consider visiting again!”

”For that price very nice place. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good. One night dinner was 10/10 but two nights I would say 8/10. Pool area is nice, gym is small and hot (poor air conditioning). Would recommend and visit again.”

”We spent 4 nights in June 2014 at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort and we really enjoyed our stay. It took a bit over one hour from the airport to reach the hotel. We used a taxi which I highly recommend. Cost was 60 USD. Police had many road blocks along to way, so make sure your driver has his paper work in order. The hotel had amazing service, positive atmosphere, nice pools, clean / comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings, nice beach, excellent bars, interesting activities & dinner on the...

”As Americans, we can have ridiculous expections. The Zanzibari exceeded them all. The staff was amazing and the property was beautiful. The Zanzibari is a smaller resort which makes it much more intimate. We will only stay at this resort anytime we visit Zanzibar. They did a private beach dinner fo us since we were here for our honeymoon. I highly suggest to stay at this location. Jonathan and Tasha”

”1000/10 stars. This hotel was absolutely incredible from the moment we arrived. The food was the best food I've ever eaten, and so”
