”Loved our honeymoon stay here! Perfect home base for a week of exploring the area. Loved the pool and especially loved the amazing generous and delicious free breakfast every morning! The only issue we had were tiny ants in our room that made a few surfaces unusable, and we had to be very cautious not to prepare food in the room. But we understand that’s normal in the jungle so we weren’t bothered. ”

”Nice stay for one night. Room is very basic & small. Very good service at the reception. Enjoyed the pool & jacuzzis, and the small forest trail was a nice extra. Breakfast however was a joke: worst we’ve had in 2 weeks in Costa Rica. Cheapest possible ingredients and even coffee was bitter & bad (first time ever in CR :)”

”We had not so great experience here. We stayed here for 3 nights but our room was infested with bugs. We had our floor filled with hundreds of flying bugs that would come from the cracks of the wooden walls into the room at night. So much so that the room floor needed to be cleaned twice or thrice a day to take those dead bugs away into the garbage. The staff tried to take care of it but it did not work. The jacuzzi in the back patio was extremely slow to fill (like in 20 min the tub was not...

”What a gem! The shared space has amazing volcano views. Very convenient location to the Main Street, only a 2min walk. Our room had a nice high ceiling. Breakfast was delicious, made to order each day and delicious. Highly recommend staying here.”

”Secreto la Fortuna was nice Hotel with a perfect location. Staff was friendly and really helpful and Spike english pretty well. Hotel is built quite recently so the garden is going to be much nicer than it is right now. No complains!”

”Friendly service. Noisy neighbours disturbed a little because we were very tired and went to bed early. Noisy air conditioner. Earplugs helped a lot. Nice swimming pool, good beds, good breakfast. Good location.”

”Really beautiful and peaceful resort! The hotel has its own hot springs, and also an outside jacuzzi. The amenities of the room were great, for example the insect repellent cream was very useful. The resort area was well kept, and all kind of animals were walking around. Besides for families, this hotel was an excellent choice also for a solo traveller looking for tranquility.”

”Excellent hotel with excellent service. Hot springs area was amazing and much bigger than expected. We visited here in low season (May) and there were zero crowds in the hotel nor hot springs. If you go to this hotel, make sure you enjoy the hot springs at night time as well. ”
