”Very pleasant experience. Clean modern room and helpful staff. Cosy restaurant with good drinks. Breakfast is freshly prepared according to your choise, a bit heavy though. Rooms are located in a separate building near a big road so we heard a little bit of noise from the traffic.”

”This is a wonderful and quirky boutique hotel. We stayed in room 1 in no. 7 with the bath. The room was clean and spacious. We loved the addition of the bath, which is so deep that it was very easy to use without causing a mess (as someone complained about before). Breakfast was refreshed every day and consisted of oats, fruit, cereals and cakes. We found a parking spot a few minutes walk away for the first 2 nights and a 10 minute walk away on the 3rd night so this was a non-issue. We liked the...

”Very helpful receptionist on arrival . Others in my party didn't check in until nearly midnight so different check in staff but also very friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was good - help yourself buffet style, but they did close the service bang on time so make sure you are there and served before the cut off. Rooms were spotless, comfortable and well appointed. Standard and type C USB charging points in several spots in the room. Wi Fi connection was good. Lots of parking spaces....

”There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”

”This is a smaller hotel with a homely, personal feel that felt unique compared to larger, more commercial feeling hotel / spa combos that are becoming so common now. We felt very comfortable playing games and having drinks in the evening, enjoying the unique heated outdoor pool and generally relaxing. Our room was large with a huge, comfy bed with crispy clean linen and a lovely hot bath with bubbles. Our evening meal was exceptionally tasty and well presented - the baked Sole was the best...
