”Nice position above the town and for exploring the local area. Expect to be challenged by the odd hill or two but you are rewarded by fantastic views. The deluxe studio was small and well equipped but not really “deluxe”. If you moderate your expectations this place provides everything you need for a stay in the area.”

”All the staff were happy, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room had a fantastic view over Lynmouth and sea. Everything was spotlessly clean. Food was delicious - both breakfast and dinner. Friendly, lively atmosphere. We only intended to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying 5.”

I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. ”We arrived at the Sawmills having made a last minute booking. On arrival we noticed the room was immaculately clean. Despite our booking being a dog friendly room, there wasn't a dog hair in site. Theo and the team couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. We had a lovely evening meal and drinks in the garden, slept like logs and then an amazing breakfast next morning.
