You are quite right about the parking: as the hotel is located in the middle of a medieval town centre we cannnot offer parking facilities right next to the hotel. However, the parking we offer you (indoor or outdoor) is only 100m away from the hotel building, a distance shorter than many onsite parkings of larger hotel complexes. Please note, that there is a surcharge for this service.

Normalerweise klappt unser Check-in reibungslos; wir überprüfen aber gerne unsere Prozesse, wenn Gäste uns konkretes Feedback dazu geben können. Wir habe Verständnis dafür, dass Sie 17 CHF als teuer empfinden. Wir möchten aber darauf hinweisen, dass dass Parken im ganzen St. Galler Stadtzentrum kostenpflichtig ist. Sie zahlen für eine Parkplatzreservierung von 16.00 Uhr am Anreisetag bis um 12.00 Uhr am Abreisetag. Das sind 20 Stunden, in der der Parkplatz exklusiv für Sie zur Verfügung steht. Würden Sie in der gleichen Zeit auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz (aussen) ihr Auto parken, müssten Sie 36.00 CHF bezahlen; Sie sparen also 19 CHF wenn Sie einen Parkplatz beziehen; nur wenn Sie nach 21.00 Uhr anreisen und vor 7.00 Uhr wieder abfahren, lohnt es sich, einen öffentlichen Parkplatz zu nutzen. Alle anderen Varianten kosten mehr als die 17.00 CHF, die wir verlangen. Danke für Ihr Verständnis.

If you are travelling from overseas it may be advisable to book a larger hotel, which may be a bit more expensive, but that can be more flexible because of its size and the price paid. Small hotels unfortunately can't clean the few rooms they have in a rolling process. Thanks for understanding.

We do understand, that you may have preferred a staffed reception on Sunday, however, in these day and ages and considering the prices we charge, we cannot offer a 24/7 hour reception. We do enable a state-of-the-art online check-in and even a digital key on your smart phone to make up for it. And there is a person on call if you have any problems checking in online.

Thank you for your rating. However, I believe you may be mistaking our hotel for another hotel you stayed at during your trip. WE DO NOT CATER TO TOUR GROUPS, this is not our type of business. Even though we occasionally host smaller groups consisting of family members or friends travelling to St. Gallen for an event or a long weekend, our guests are mainly individual holiday makers or business travellers. During the time you stayed in our hotel, we did not host any smaller groups - all the guests booked individually, with the exception of one small group consisting of three artists booked by their agent and two business travellers booked together by their company for a conference.

Thank you for rating us. Our hotel is open at all hours; the reception however is only open for a certain time. This is standard for 2-Star hotels. As you are informed by us upon booking, we provide several solutions for you, if you arrive after hours, like a digital hotel key on your smart phone, online registration or placing your key in our key safe on site. All you need to do is contact us prior to arrival, so we can send you the details for a self check-in.

Thank you for your rating. The train station is only 6-7 Minutes walking distance from the hotel, however, it is possible to take a bus almost directly to the hotel; the bus stops about 100m from our entrance. As for the check-in time: this is not unusual for a 2-star hotel and while we do understand, that some guests would like to check in earlier, it is unfortunately not possible. Thank you for understanding.

We are sorry, that you didn't enjoy your stay. Unfortunately we do not know why and this makes it difficult to improve. We do know, that you did not seem happy with having to wait for check-in and we apologize for that. Maybe you weren't aware, that after checking-in digitally, you can actually use the mobile key in the same web app to open your room door ...
