”No frills accommodation but perfectly equipped for a short stay. Room share a bathroom on a 1:3 ratio approximately and this wasnt an issue for my stay. Host is lovely and very attentitive. These rooms suitable contractors or anyone looking for a solid base to visit the nearby area. Walking distance to local shop, pub and a few chinese takeaways. Area is quiet, bar the seagulls, but for me the rooms are perfect. Clean, tidy and everything you would need. Multiple improvements still...

”Another great stay at this wonderful and peaceful hotel. Beware of the dog (charge) - it’s expensive at £25 per pet per night. Otherwise one of our very favourite places to come and relax!”

”Everything was wonderful at Ocean Mist. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent and breakfast great. ”

”We were in Edinburgh for an extra few nights unexpectedly and booked “3 Johns Place” last minute. We absolutely loved it! The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, the shower was new and modern. I would give it more stars if I could. Easy check-in, accommodating staff, beautiful facility. 12/10. We are slowly becoming anti-Air Bnb folks because of accommodations like this. A+ 3 Johns Place. ”

”What a place to stay!!!!. Amazing place with fantastic staff and fantastic food…very quiet and perfect for a romantic getaway..can’t fault the place and have to say the staff went above and beyond to make our stay even better….can’t wait to return and highly recommend…5 star treatment and food”

”Pleasant stay at the hostel. Having our own dorm was great and made it affordable for three people meeting up, visiting the City and just having a catch. Great location and close to the Cities parkrun that takes place on Saturday”

”A bit small room for 4 people. Showed drained poorely and sink was misplaced so the water went also beside sink when washing hands. A bit far from the city center, but good public transport to there and even walkable.”

”Outstanding apartment. Comfy bed, large bathroom with great shower and tub. Lots of artwork around. Excellent location close to stores and restaurants and the Picardy Place tram stop. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Edinburgh.”

”Loved staying at Abbey Strand! Very historic building but with all modern conveniences. Quiet part of Royal Mile away from noise & traffic but easy walk to anywhere. No air conditioning but temps are generally cooler. Definitely recommend a stay when in Edinburgh.”

”The location nd space was amazing…but it was the stellar staff that get the top notch accolades. They were all so friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived to the time we left. And not just doing little things, but things rarely done now. They happened to ask about our plans for the day and when they heard we had a full day travel trip they made us a goodie bag with treats and apples. I found everything about this stay to be wonderful and look forward to a return!”

”The location of this property is amazing. Literal steps from the Royal Mile and a fantastic pub right next door. Rooms worked well and were clean, and the kitchen provided essentials for anything you’d need. Definitely recommend! ”
