”The hotel itself could do with some upgrading, rooms need a mini fridge and bar doesnt offer rhe widest drink selection, but there is a pub across the road to make up for this. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and this definitely added to what was overall a very pleasant place to stay for one night. ”

”A lovely two night stay in beautiful St Albans! Location is great.. Sops, restaurants and pubs are close. Room is nice and the bed is comfortable. Staff is really helpful. Breakfast (£10) was great! Full english breakfast with fruits, croissants, woffels etc.

”This is a lovely historic hotel and we enjoyed our stay apart from one thing (but this was promptly rectified) : initially we had a front bedroom facing the road which was busy and noisy all through the night. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to a rear bedroom which was wonderfully spacious and with much better facilities. The staff were very pleasant, polite and efficient, the hotel was fascinating and well-kept, and we would certainly stay there again.”
