”Exceeded expectations. The staff team were really friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed and great coffee. We ate breakfast and dinner and had great food.we also atexat the bistro opposite which was great. Will definitely stay again. ”

”Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay.”

”The room was clean, however the bed was rock hard, the pillows were flat, the shower had low pressure and was very slow. However, the main issue during our stay were the functions held on both nights. We were in a room directly below the toilets of the function room. It was very noisy with the constant noise of the toilet flushing, loud noise from heels clonking on the wooden toilet floor and doors banging. Then at the end of the night people walking down the stair and singing/talking loudly...

”So i irrived to a bed. Good start. Anne franks attick would be the ritz compared to this. Tv didn't work, heater didn't work, dispite me being advised to plug it in by the lady on reception. This turned out to not be a problem as she worked out how to put the heating on permanently for the next 2 day. Breakfast on the 1st morning wasn’t something id normally spend 7 quid on as it leaked oil from everywhere, i didn't have a 2nd Breakfast as the other guest sitting with his 4 pint cans of Stella...

”An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price.”
