”lovely place with very comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms. Nice touches such as fresh milk in the room every day. Restaurant served very nice food - not cheap, but very nice. We all like romantic dinners with soft lighting, but one of the nights the lights were so dim, we could not identify some the food on the plate without tasting it. After that we picked our own table with better lighting :)”

”My wife tends towards OCD and even she found this property spotless. I’m an architect and built my own home and I found the workmanship in the home excellent. The couple who hosted us were delightful and the service and breakfast were great. We only had a short walk to a delightful pub to make our stay first rate. ”

”This was our first stay at The Apple House but been to York before. The Apple House seems to be this family's labour of love.
