”the Talbot was a little tired ( although it was erected in the middle fifteenth century ), quite quirky, sloping floors, in need of a refurb. Manager Craig was a great host, bar staff Darren & Bren were also top guys. Good selection of beers on tap. Room adequate, bathroom good. Hotel position is a great spot for exploring the area.”

”The room was lovely, and comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly, the breakfast was excellent. The only poor thing was a very noisy fan somewhere outside my window, so I had to shut the windows on a hot night, the fan did go off, not sure what time, to be fair I do put the light out fairly early.”

”We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again.”
