”Lovely coaching inn in beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Welcome very friendly as was service throughout stay. Room not huge but adequate and very comfortable bed with good supply of linen. Whole hotel was kept well heated. Beautifully cooked dinner and breakfast. Would definitely stay again though not sure if menu changed much.”
”We spent a night at the Wheatsheaf, to break the long drive from Scotland to Berkshire. Our room, although not huge, was clean, with crisp, white bed linen on a very comfy bed, and with lovely views of the pretty village church. Although warned about the frequent bell ringing, it did not disturb us in any way. Nice, white towels were provided in the shower room. Lucy and her team couldn't have been more welcoming, efficient, and helpful. It was convenient to be able to enjoy our evening...

”For a first trip by myself definitely felt safe and comfortable. Staff were amazing, so friendly there was always a good atmosphere. Spacious and clean room and bathroom. No parking but two carparks in walking distance can top up on a morning. Option to come and go from side gate so can avoid being in the way when pub is busy.

The room was good and the bed was huge!! It was 2 lovely nights sleep, nice hot shower in the morning followed by a cooked breakfast. It really set me up for the day.
