”The New Owner and Manager knows customer service and is a great cook too. Apologies, didn't get her name. Both our dinner and breakfast meals were delicious. We wish her well in her new adventure and we're sure the hotel/pub will continue to thrive in her hands.”
”Return visit like the area about 20-25 mins walk downhill to Whitby harbour area. Bus stop by school or Sainsburys minutes away.
Bedrooms clean and big for 2 people. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car parking free and if u forgot anything there is a sainsburys fee mins walk away

”Excellent check in by Matt, enabled us to check in early and took all our bags up to the room for us. Room was clean and comfortable and we couldn't hear any noise from the bar downstairs. Excellent location opposite the train station and all local amenities on the doorstop.
Unfortunately the live act that was on was singing IRA Support songs and when my partner objected and complained we were asked to leave the bar. The singer did admit that he was wrong and had caused us being told to leave”
”Well what a really pleasant place, surpassed all expectations. We stayed in The Horseshoe Suite and it was perfect for a short stay. Our only problem would have been the bath size - small, but the shower was more than adequate. The bed was very large and very comfortable with exceptionally white bed linen, every where was very clean and tidy. The restaurant was superb, great food, lovely surroundings with good prices and finally each and every member of staff were genuinely nice, polite,...
”Loved our stay in the shepherds hut. Great family get away in a lovely location. Fun alternative to our usual camping. Lovely facilities, amazing welcoming staff and delicious breakfast. Short drive to all local destinations…wish we had stayed another night! ”
