”Stayed here twice now & doesn’t disappoint. Room lovely & clean with nice touches such as bath robes and lots of various toiletries. Full tea & coffee making facilities with nice biscuits Breakfast can’t be beaten and all staff welcoming and pleasant.”

”The room was spotless and well decorated. It was spacious with lots of storage. The bed was large comfortable and linen was changed everyday. The hotel is beautiful with a restaurant, bar, coffee bar and veranda all decorated in a victorian theme. The view across the harbour to the Abbey is breathtaking. The staff are attentive and accomodating, very polite and well presented. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and i would highly recommend that people stay here. ”

”Just ten mins walk to town centre, few minute walk to north sea seaside, location is lovely. The room is clean, the bed is comfy, the shower has high water pressure which is good for after walking all day. The only one thing is kettle doesn't clean, some water left there when I check-in.”

”The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time.”
