Whether I was heading out to explore the hubbub or grab a bite at nearby restaurants, everything was just outside the door. The room was stylish, with little touches that make a stay feel special. ”We had a lovely stay. The bedroom was a little smaller than we expected; however, it was advertised as a small double room, so we knew what to expect. ”The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time.”

”Furniture and fittings very antiquated. Bedding very old and worn, bed linen did not look clean and fresh. Bathroom shower looks as if mould growing around base, not hot water to the basin, towels very worn and ruff. Breakfast very poor, left on landing to help yourself, cereal and fruit only not worth the payment charged. Parking not easy and very limited particularly for the larger car. Expedia stated only one room left that clearly was not the situation. Definitely not value for money.”
