”The location is excellent, close to the city center. The parking opportunities are limited, fortunately unloading and loading is possible in the street of the location. The apartment is well equipped and sizable. However, the windows pf apartment 3 are facing an inner court with a venting system of a restaurant. It produces strong kitchen smells during most of the day. It should be discussed with the owner how to reduce the smells (with scrubs, perhaps).”

”The pub was lovely and served great food and drink options. The rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit fairly basic and in need of modernisation, but certainly no complaints given the room rate. The pub offers great value for money and is dog friendly. We used it as a stop of travelling south from Scotland and we will likely return. ”

”Absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms are really nice and the bar and restaurant area are lovely too. Toiletries were the White Company and in bigger bottles so much more eco friendly as it wasn’t the small single use ones that most other hotels insist on using. We had our dog with us and it’s probably the most dog friendly hotel we’ve stayed in. And the location means there’s a lovely walk along the lake in the woods on the doorstep. Our only criticism was the bedroom was absolutely roasting...

”This was a fantastic find for an overnight stay on our way to Glasgow, wish we could have stayed longer and explored the lake and surrounding areas. The bar and restaurant were very good and the couple who were managing the pub at the time of our stay were excellent hosts. There is plenty of parking and this very old pub has very modern rooms. Would defiantly recommend and stay again. ”
