”Pub in very good location for seeing the sights of the cotswold area. Nice quiet room. Pub food very good.”

”We stayed 2 nights, staff asked if we needed any cleaning or replacements in the morning. A full English breakfast was served each morning. We had an evening meal the one night with a good choice. This is an Inn so there's a bar which wasn't too noisy the nights we stayed. Friendly staff. We will book again as ideal for areas we wish to visit.”

”Really great place to stay and super close walking distance to the Services but not adjoining them. The only thing is trying to find this place as the Satnav started going bonkers every time we tried to get back. It always seemed to be on the opposite side of the motorway to where the satnav sent us! Really comfortable and good amenities. Gorgeous views cross the fields as well! TV was pretty small but worked.”

”Absolutely wonderful staff and the room was amazing!! The only issue (not their fault) they put me on the top floor and I struggle with stairs a lot as I’m disabled.. so, I booked a small single room but they have a huge room with a double and two singles great bathroom windows that open for air and the bed was great and the hot chocolate n biscuits. But I almost fell asleep my legs died underneath me and I was too shaky for what looked and slightly tasted like a fab breakfast. I was just...

”Spent one night at the hotel. It is located in a cute small town. There is a good car park and the hotelarea is beautiful. The room was OK size, but could use an update. The pub was nice and the breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful :)”

The carpet was dusty (or at least not cleaned/vacuum cleaned) since the previous customer, nor was it cleaned between our 2 nights stay. What was much worse; in the room there was a stark moldy smell that did not go off even as we kept the windows from both sides of the room open for 2 full days & nights. ”Five stars for old and charming. I've taught about the use of coaching inns in play production during the Tudor period. I'm from California, so it was very exciting to see one in person. I recommend the best room--the Oak. It's reasonably priced and will make you feel as if you are in a period movie. The New Inn is well located for seeing the Cathedral, which is unusually rich in history and warrants a guided tour. The bar carries a very good selection of beer.”
