”I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality and spaciousness of my room (10). Staff were friendly and professional; the assistant at breakfast was first rate in supporting a substantial number of guests. And the Craster kippers were excellent. The one thing missing at breakfast was a bowl of fresh fruit. Dinner was well prepared and presented. All in all a very good experience at the Duke of W.”

”Lovely room with jet bath and tv in bathroom nice chill with glass of wine , breakfast was piping hot and delicious, lovely friendly lady waiting on in dining room .”

”Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather...

”Great place great rooms great staff, breakfast choice also very good”

”A delightful rural retreat within 15 minutes walk to the centre of Rothbury. ”

”I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. We ordered food it was very fast and efficient, large portions and reasonably priced. The sun was in the beer garden all day. Staff very...
