”This is a lovely hotel. We had a room in the Pole Barn which had its own outside seating. The seating here could do with being a wee bit more comfortable, but it was a nice touch. The room was small but very well-designed - controllable temp and lighting, a fridge and a great bathroom. The restaurant was lovely - big, airy and stylish. The food was excellent adn the main bonus was the staff -friendly and helpful without fail.”

”Light bright rooms, overlooking fields with castle & sea in the distance. Plenty of parking at front of building. Sraff extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice both cold & cooked. There is an onsite cafe adjouning hotel which was ideal. They served hot & cold dishes, variety of sandwiches, cakes, puds etc. It is open 24/7 & used by passersby on A1. Very central for trips to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne etc. We would definitely recommend & will be making a return jorney...

”This was a rabbit warren of a hotel, with rooms of all shapes and sizes scattered throughout the site. We were initially given a very dark room, which was a strange shape, and a yapping dog next door; we were given a much better room when we complained.
