The bland room resembled a student bedsit on the busy main road & had a bed without a headboard so pillows disappeared in the gap between the mattress and wall. The wall mirror is only suitable if you are over 6’ 6”! No window blinds, so privacy necessitated closing the blackout curtains & living in the dark. ”The staff here were absolutely lovely! It's a very quaint inn, just as you might imagine an Inn in the Scottish countryside would be. The room was small but functional. Ours looked out onto a sweet 'wee' courtyard. We had a glass of wine in the bar after returning from having dinner at Kingsbarns Golf club and the bartender, Cammie, was so lovely and helpful. She gave some recommendations of places to see in Edinburgh and let us sample the Irn Bru, which is a local soft drink in Scotland that's...

”It’s a nice traditional hotel with friendly staff. Bedroom felt dated and there was no mini-fridge for the milk but bathroom had been modernised and was much better. Extensive Beautiful gardens in bloom with many flowers so it was very strange none of them had been cut for inside vases on tables - in the arrival lobby there are unattractive tired dried flower arrangements which don’t set the scene well! Nice touch to have morning coffee in warming pots and takeaway cups available in the lobby...

”We enjoyed our stay very much. Pam was friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. We could see the sea from our bedroom window. It is a little far to the centre of town, so if you don't have a car, be prepared.”

”Away from the main city . Hotel location is quiet silent , lot of green farms behind the hotel.Hotel building is very old but well maintained . Hotel foods are very nice also the staff’s are fantastic and very helpful. They can improve cleaning in parking area and external stairs and inside corridors. Overall it’s a nice place to short stays”

”At 86 years old the staff treated like I was the Queen mother from arrival to departure. I have mobility problems not major but do need some assistance they were always there if I needed help. Cheerful and chatty. The meus suited my taste and I enjoyed all I had to eat. Going places on my own at my age not easy The staff made my weekend trip very Pleasurable.”
