”Got in on a Friday evening and was greeted by the chirp of the smoke alarm in the master bedroom--the battery was dying. Even though the next day was a Saturday, the host had his handyman (who was a very nice fellow) arrive with ladder and a fresh battery. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood (the sheep next door sleep through the night and are charming during the day.)”

”Excellent accommodations. Exceptionally clean. We have stayed in Volcano 2 times before in the Hiiaka House…which is no longer a rental. I found Jungalo Bungalow online and liked what I saw. I strongly recommend a stay here if the Volcano National Park is in your plans. …or one could choose to stay at Volcano House for hundreds of dollars more plus having to buy all your meals! We were very pleased with Jungalo Bungalow!”

”We loved our stay at the Volcano lodge! It was very peaceful, the jacuzzi was a nice place to relax at the end of the evening. Even though there were others staying on the property we rarely saw them. The lush rainforest was beautiful! I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again! Thank you!”

”Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up.”

”Only there has been a little confusion when after booking 2 units for 2 people, and paying a full price, I received suddenly a message that one of my 2 units was cancelled. It made me worried about how I could accommodate both of us. At the end my 2nd person got ill and couldn’t come, so I used the one unit Nane.”

”Had a lovely stay at The Pacifica over Memorial Day weekend. All of the amenities needed to make the stay comfortable. 5 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Jennifer and her team were super communicative. Would stay there again if the opportunity arises.”

”This place had everything we needed for our 3 day stay in Volcano. Super convey location to the park, town and the host was great at communicating and accommodating our needs. She gave great suggestions for things to do and places to eat, too. We would definitely visit again if we ever make it back to HI/Volcano. ”

”There were definite highs and lows to this property. The rooms were very clean and there was great entertainment options (games available to play) and lots of beds, which is what we wanted. However, we really wanted the hot tub which this property advertised, but was clearly not being uproot or available for use. There was one line in the posting, that the water is not drinkable. I applaud that this property is so green, but it was somewhat inconvenient for utilizing water. The biggest complaint...
