”During a month's stay I kinda got used to the awful smell of the carpet in my room. I purchased a Smart Room via Hotels.com, but they put us in a Zen Room, which smelled like an old bar. And at first they had the nerve to lie that the room was in fact the Smart Room we purchased. After two days of complaining, they fortunately put us in Comfort Rooms, which was a nice upgrade and made up for the unfortunate beginning. The restaurant Gulmurg was nice, but very pricy. Short walk to Mumbai central train station and taxis always outside at any time, literally.
Staff were outstanding - always available and more than happy to help. Really friendly people.
There is a seating area out the front which is great to get out of the room for a while - completely safe and nobody approaches you from the street.
