”Not sure how its a 4-star. Anyway, the restaurant was really good, great food (but a bit heavy on cheese and light on mushrooms in the risotto) and wine. Special recognition for Tilly, who was very attentive. The fire alarm went off 12 times in the night, really? The room, No. 17, was way too hot, maybe that's what triggered the alarm? The heated towel rail was on full and I couldn't see how to turn it off. The bathroom extractor fan ran on for ages.”

”Only challenge was lack of hanging space in the single bedroom. The tv in the double bedroom takes up a lot of floor space unnecessarily ”

”Everything was lovely and the front staff so very helpful. The only thing I would say about was the sound on the TV it was very muffled all the time no matter what we put it up to. We liked it so much we booked another night. I DO NOT AGREE WITH The extra PAYMENT FOR PARKING. @£8.00 Per night. Thank you. Teresa Dobinson.”

”Plenty of parking available, the staff were friendly and helpful. The actual accommodation is very tired and dated. The sink in the bathroom was totally cracked and in my opinion could be dangerous.”

”The bathroom was dirty, clearly had not been cleaned properly in some time, there was hair all over the floor, dirt build up around the shower tray and shower itself. Windows were also very dirty. The breakfast bag is not worth it as it’s not ready to go you have to wait 10mins for the hot part!”

”Hotel was old, worn, dirty and cold. There is no restaurant, and no stores nearby to get food etc. Staff was nice, but that didn’t save the experience. ”

”Instructions of room location and card key available at reception after hours. Room was clean but there was no towels available to use. There was coffee, tea and sugar sachets to use, however, there was no milk. Pretty disappointing with the omission of these basic items.”
