”Very nice hotel with exellent location. Its very nice part of town and there is lots of local busroutes.”

”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful. Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....

”Room was clean, updated, and spacious. The outside does not match to updated interior…..don’t let it put you off. We checked in at 3pm on a Sunday so we had easy parking in their lot. I’m sure that’s trickier at other times. Sidenote: we got food delivered from Extreme Pizza, highly recommend.”

”We got corner room on 18th floor with great view towards the bay. I warmly recommend to pay some extra for that! Room was in great condition and clean. Bed was perfect with two set of pillows (soft & firm). Location was good, Nob hill cable car end station is just around the corner. However, for people in good condition it takes approx 30-40 minutes to walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. We were very happy to our two nights staying in this hotel.”

”The room was spacious and clean! Bedding was very nice and comfortable. The location was central and close to the Opera House which was the reason for our visit. We did have a hard time finding a restaurant close by after the performance and ended up eating next door to the hotel at Mel's. Not exactly a meal to remember but it honestly wasn't bad. Parking garage was very convenient and dare I say affordable at $49 with in/out priledges. I would definitely stay at the Courtyard location again! ”

”Stayed here for a quick trip with my husband and loved the location and how close it is to Japantown eateries. The hotel is beautiful and nicely appointed. The lobby has plenty of seating if you’d like to hang out and in the morning have coffee and tea. Our room was spacious, clean, and very modern. We had a soaking tub in our bathroom which was a nice touch. We were able to walk to dinner and our concert at The Fillmore easily. ”We really enjoyed our staying in stylish Proper Hotel San Francisco. We got excellent, yet easygoing service and ate delicios breakfast. The room itself was fine design with high quality toiletries. Because of the not-so-safe district where the hotel is, it’s good to understand, that the view out of the window and late walking on the streets is not recommended. Nevertheless these facts didn’t bother us too much.”
