Beautiful Tudor building, with modern rooms and facilities, excellent food. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Great location for walks around the area. Staff were lovely. Room clean & comfortable and food good at a reasonable price. Pretty faultless and good value for money.

Really nice Country Inn located in a lovely part of England. Very welcoming, clean and decent sized room. Great menu for dining options and excellent breakfast in the morning. Service in bar and restaurant very good too.

Very clean and comfortable with generally very generous food portions of a good standard but some shortcomings at breakfast eg toast but no jam or marmalade offered, only 1cup of coffee offered , butter portion small . Otherwise very good value.

Lovely room, comfortable bed, should look at refillable toiletries instead of single usage plastic! Would have been nice to have cereals and juice out to help ourselves at breakfast.

3rd time and not the last
I just love this place. From the moment you walk through the door you feel at home. We like to stay in the Shakespeare suite which is beautiful and supremely comfortable. I always have the best nights sleep. The food in the restaurant is fabulous- I won’t eat risotto anywhere else. We usually stay for a night on our way back from visiting family in Dorset but I think next year we will come for longer. Thanks as always to all the staff.

Cracking hotel/pub. Stayed before and it’s def on my list of fave places! Rooms are a super high std and so comfortable Pub is really lovely and food is good without being over complicated Really close to main roads

A Superb Stay
We had a superb one night stay in the Shakespeare Suite which was in the roof area. Lots of exposed beams but all spotlessly clean with a really comfy bed and quality furniture which all matched. Our evening meal was excellent with the staff very attentive and not afraid to stop for a chat. Breakfast was great too, you chose what you wanted and it was all freshly cooked. We genuinely cannot fault any aspect of our overnight stay, it was excellent from start to finish - staff who are very helpful and friendly and with a lovely restaurant.

A nice place to stay
An attractive and popular inn. The room was comfortable and clean and all the staff were helpful and pleasant. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. It is handy for Stratford on Avon and nearby Alcester.

Comfy stay
Friendly and comfortable, it's a really smooth experience throughout. I personally would prefer a more varied menu but they have a theme so it is as it is.

Superb weekend break
Wonderfully charming hotel full of character. We stayed in the Shakespeare suite which was lovely. Excellent and friendly service, great breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Second time staying here,we chose the cottages at the back,as we stayed in them last time. Home from home,everything you need and very clean. Meals in the pub superb and all staff attentive. We will be back next year!

Really good place and looks to have had a recent refurbishment. Staff really friendly and easy to deal with. Food was really good apart from the steak I had which was like rubber along with thick lumpy sauce

I have to say that having stayed in a lot of accomodation over the years whilst travelling for business this is by far the best value for money i have ever had. Staff couldnt do enough and wentbas far as lending me 2 Carling Pint Glasses so that myself and my brother-in-law could enjoy a cold beer at the family caravan whilst vusuting my mother. It sondssilly to say such a thing but ut is thise little tiuches that entice people back. I for one will vist again without doubt.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice room, up in the roof and up quite a lot of steep stairs, but comfortable. Bath and shower a bit awkward to use. Good breakfast.

Really good hotel
The hotel was perfect with one exception and the breakfast you could not fault. Unfortunately in the night it rained heavy and the roof leaked quite bad in our room. It was a heavy drip on to the carpet but we were rather tired and slept through it once we’d seen it wasn’t causing any damage other than a wet patch. The staff were really good and the room was stunning and large. Had a really good time there. 15 minutes drive from Stratford centre so not too far in a taxi to get anywhere.
