”The hotel facilities, the dining, the staff were all absolutely fine. The room, however, was on 2 levels with even a step down on entry. Awkward. It was situated at the front of the building over some sort of service room with a generator or boiler that emitted a constant drone all through the night. ”Definately good hotel, maybe not quite living up five star status. Our third hotel stay during the same week, so it is easy to compare with other being four stars. The staff are doing their best, but glitches in new room cards and reception procedures left a sour taste. The place at the shore is nice, alltough part of the view is blocked by harbour warehouses. It is a bit far from the city centre by walking. The bar at the top has a nice view, but is noisy. All in all good experience, but not...

”Daisybank cottage is a must for anyone looking to stay in the New Forest. The room was perfect - spacious, spotless and huge fluffy towels in the bathroom. Lovely touches in the room and so thoughtful. Great breakfast and friendly welcome. Its perfect for various walks without the car to get to start points, and close to pubs and eateries nearby. I will be recommending to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay. ”

”Great location for walking to Cowes centre and for the chain ferry to East Cowes. Comfortable room although very hot and impossible to turn the one radiator (in bedroom) off. Decent breakfast although some of the cooked items could have been hotter. Overall I would recommend and be happy to stay again. ”
