”We booked a two-night stay at The Montagu Arms to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, so this was a special occasion for us. I would first like to say that every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and professional throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the accommodation itself fell well below our expectations. ”Great staff, unique location , excellent food , couple of small issues with the bathroom, quite a lot of limescale on the shower controls & adjacent tiles. Hot water in the basin took forever to even be lukewarm. Everything else up to scratch & would stay again .”

”A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs.”

”Lovely Garden room. Rather bijou and a particularly small bathroom. I was concerned about noise from the restaurant but it was fine (we were on 1st floor). Luxury bedsheets and duvet and decent aircon. Staff all lovely. Breakfast was fine. I had salmon and scrambled eggs on the first morning. The salmon was pretty tasteless and the eggs were dry - very disappointing and not expected from this establishment. Next morning I had smashed avocado and poached eggs which were nicer, but not...
