”The hotel is not only showing some obvious wear in both the rooms (furnishings) and public areas (corridors/lifts etc.) but particularly could have been improved by simply paying attention. Outside lawn bar areas/furniture are not even being wiped down and this is a highlight area for this hotel. Rooms are not made up in a timely manner 3:45 in the afternoon seems rather late for any room not to mention a suite you want to enjoy time in. Staff comments were less than helpful. ”Not what I expected. The room itself was nice and the environment guite cute but two major issues with the stay. 1. The room temperature must`ve been above 30 degrees (even if the temperature outside was +15). Room facing the street so opening the window felt like sleeping on the street. Not a good choice if you need to get some proper rest.”

”We visited the hotel for a business meetings nearby. The place is very traditional English Inn. Nice pub with good food. The rooms are clean and ok, but the place is a little worn down. I a still like it.”

”Great location for Legoland, city centre and motorway. Room was cleanand comfortable, great breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overall good value, but internet is a tad slow and there is no free hotel parking as wrongly shown on Expedia. There is a council car park, free from 9pm to 9am, easy to find space, but need to be careful with timings”

”Beautiful old Manor House converted into a hotel. Very quiet location, plenty of parking facilities, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely restaurant overlooking the grounds, breakfast was beautifully cooked and served. I’d certainly use this hotel again.”
