”The staff were not overly helpful. I asked someone at the front desk to call me a taxi and they said they couldn’t so they gave me the number. When I said I couldn’t call because of the international number they seemed annoyed. I tried to get lunch one day and they told me the chef wouldn’t be in for another hour despite it being within the lunch hours they posted. The rooms were also very outdated.”

”As musicians we stay in a lot of hotels and we were delighted with our stay at The Royal Oak. The staff are friendly and efficient, the room was super with a comfy bed, large modern bathroom and spotlessly clean all around. Meals were good value and very tasty and the whole place seemed to be very well run. We'd certainly visit again and wish the Royal Oak team every success for the future.”

”Stayed over in a double room , room was very tired looking and stains on walls. Windows only opened 2 inches and so resulted in very hot room. Bed was uncomfortable. Used spa facilities which were disappointing, steam room was not working and spa was busy with children despite having designated family swim times. Restaurant was very over priced. Having stayed in numerous spa hotels, expected a better standard here but was disappointing”

”An amazing hotel .We have stayed here before and everything about the hotel is amazing. I used the swimming pool,the jacuzzi,had breakfast which was a help yourself full English,cereals,fruit ,yoghurt toast. The bar was reasonably priced and the staff where outstanding. May stay again in the future for 3rd time .”

”We selected the hotel due to its central location, near the rain station, a walk distance away from the old town. The hotel is modern and stylish and it has all the needed services in one package. Breakfast had a wider range of options than I expected from this kind of hotel! We didn't hear any sounds from other rooms, so quiet and good sleep.”

”A very comfortable, homely place to stay in the heart of the very English village of Stockton Heath. The host was very friendly and helpful producing a yummy breakfast daily at a time to suit each visitor.”

”Excellent friendly pub and adjacent hotel. Two little issues could make it a lot better. Box of tissues in the bathroom and grab handle on the wall above the bath/shower as the bath is quite slippery in spite of its no slip surface.”
