You get what you pay for. We were looking for a quick overnight place to stay. It's very outdated, Mattresses are on top of a box spring made of bricks, literally. The shower had a lot of black mold. The restaurant is great though! So is the staff!

Lugar muy cómodo y limpio, ademås de tranquilo. El precio es muy justo, puesto que las habitaciones son de lo mås båsicas pero cómodas y cålidas. El restaurante se ve bonito, no tuve oportunidad de probar los alimentos ya que fui en día festivo, pero seguro que volveré!

I enjoyed it, but not sure all would so go with proper expectations. Near cliff that near a quiet beach. Enjoyable beach walk at low tide, fishing, peaceful, decent seafood restaurant but hours are limited to 1:00 to 9:00 PM. No breakfast and no staff found in morning so plan accordingly. Not much else to do. You need to relax and make your own fun. Front desk girl and waitress Daisy was very pleasant. Room was not dirty but very modest and everything seemed worn out. Wifi did not work in room but did in restaurant. Hotel construction stopped leaving it part complete. For the low price and beach location it was all fine with me and with the other guests but might be too rustic for many. During my stay it was quiet, peaceful and there were no problems. So, if you want to fish, or chill and you need nothing fancy it’s an interesting experience.

Muy mala organizaciĂłn.. se supone hice reservaciĂłn a travĂ©s de Trivago y las personas del lugar no tenĂ­an ni idea..tardaron en recibirnos como una hora.. las habitaciones que nos dieron no son como las pedimos.. y segĂșn era con desayuno con costo extra y no habĂ­a nadie y dijeron que no tenĂ­an ese servicio.. la verdad quedaron muy mal. Las personas que nos atendieron fueron amables pero fuera de eso no me agrado mucho

Camalu is the new Malibu
This little place is great-for people who just want to check out of society for a spell. It’s a bit rustic but for the price as well as the experience I highly recommend it.

Great price, good food, nice people, and wonderful view. Older place, so it’s not the Marriot, but clean, HOT water, and comfortable! I’d certainly stay there again

Al llegar al lugar, nos informar quĂ© hay que pagar el alojamiento en efectivo, ya que no recibe tarjetas, cuando el hotel, que es mĂĄs un restaurante con algunos cuartos, se encuentra a varios kilĂłmetros lejos de algĂșn cajero automĂĄtico Terrible experiencia

Las habitaciones estĂĄn muy tristes como abandonadas aunque no sucias pero si deterioro de tiempo. La vista es hermosa y da tristeza no llegar a una habitaciĂłn agradable. No hay tv ni abanico. Y aĂșn mĂĄs triste es que el restaurante no tiene servicio de desayuno, hay que regresar hasta el poblado para poder desayunar.

Bad experience
The web pictures do not show what the actual rooms look like. Very old beds, sheets, towels, furniture, ect... We got there and the rooms were not ready. At the time of check out the front desk was closed. If you are looking for a family hotel this is not the place. I don't recommend this place at all.

Camalu retreat
I visited here many years ago and was hoping to see some big changes by now. The hotel is in just about the same condition it was 11 years ago. Someone has a big vision for the place but has not been able to fulfill the dream so far. I suppose it is because of the secluded location and lack of steady business. I love the place and hope it gets finished some day. I would love to see it in its true grandeur!

Personne à l'arrivée , donc pas de personnel au courant de notre réservation. Heureusement une femme de ménage a bien voulu nous ouvrir la chambre. Celle-ci était tout à fait correcte. Personne à l'accueil le lendemain matin, restaurant fermé...on est repartis... quelle communication entre l'hÎtel et ebookers ? ?

The quadruple rooms were not what we expected, specially because we had children with us, but the staff was extremely helpful and allowed us to occupy other rooms that I thought were not available. Afterwards, the experience was perfectly fine.

Pet friendly, ocean views, fabulous value
Fabulous location, pet friendly, ocean views, balcony, free parking and pretty far away from crowds. On the other hand it’s a humble place to stay, but I can’t complain you get what you pay. We did not have many expectations we were just happy we could travel with our pets and have plenty of room to roam around.

Great food and service. Resort was never finished construction. Dont judge by the exterior alone. Great value for the $30 cost and the ocean view is awesome. Great location for a guys dirt bike trip!
