Our stay was somewhat spoiled by drunken guests and their friends in the next room making excessive noise and shouting between 12.30-2.30 am, keeping us awake, security was called twice to try and resolve and did offer us a rom change in the middle of the night which was not practical. On speaking to Harry the manager it appears this was not the only case that evening. The hotel should consider introducing a quiet policy after 12 with...

”This is the second stay at The Grand. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We were bed and breakfast , the bed was very comfortable, the room was a decent size and the breakfast was very good. Although the room was clean the main window needs attention as putty is missing which makes it drafty and also it needs painting. The flat roof outside is an eyesore. ”We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place.”
