”From check in which was very straightforward to checkout which was exactly the same we had a fantastic 5 night break. Great communication from Will the owner made everything easy. ”Some hotels you stay in look a bit dated. This hotel was refreshingly up to date and extremely clean. Lovely spacious bedroom and bathroom Staff we spoke to were very polite and friendly. Good choice of food for Breakfast. Although there is no car park, the Harbour car park is just arpund the corner and you can get a 4 or 8 day permit which enables you to park in any Torbay Council car park. Will go back to Torquay and no hesitation in booking this hoteal again.”

The food in 1881 resturant within the grand hotel was delicious and served by Felix. What a kind gentleman he was also. Even making my young boy happy by giving him free mocktails!

”Stayed 2 nights in twin room. The room was small ,however it had everything we needed. There was tea/ coffe/ hot chocolate available in the room that was replenished daily. The room was warm as we were top floor, but there was a fan provided which was very welcome. The bathroom was very small, and you may find a struggle if on larger size, however like rest of property was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and really good. ”
